We got the kids new shoes last night, and I was hoping that the novelty would give the boy an extra dose of courage when it came time for me to let go of his hand this morning. Didn’t quite get there and some tears were shed, but I know he’ll have a good day and may even learn to tie his new shoes.
Back to work!
Great start to a great day for the boy.
Zak brought a book to school that he was reading last night so he could show the teacher. The thought of doing this propelled him, albeit a bit reluctantly, through the classroom door this morning.
The sticker on the middle finger is just his subtle stab at “the man”.
Even after a long weekend, as I told Zak *repeatedly* Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. He was ready, but not happy, today.
Great success with the drop off today! Even after yesterday’s debacle, the boy still had a good day at school.
Today’s triumph was brought to you by Play-Doh: Shouldn’t you be playing with Play-Doh right now?
