Day 98: Two Of A Kind
Zoe and I both had a rough night last night and neither of us were at our best this morning. She took her favorite bear and tiny, emergency-backup blanket with her in the buggy for added comforting. When I pulled back the cover to let her out she was curled up with bear, blanket, and thumb looking so small and fragile.
"Do you want to take your bear and blanket with you into school?" I asked. "But then people would see," she said. My heart just broke. "Then let's put them in your backpack, and it will be a secret," I said. I carried her into school, with her blanket and bear hidden away in her backpack.
